- Surface preparation: The substrate must be solid, clean, dry. Remove loose mortar, rust, dust, oil and old failed coating residues.
- Repair wide cracks, joints and flashing areas first. Use reinforcement fabric for dynamic cracks.
- Stir coating well before use. Apply by roller, brush or airless sprayer.
- Apply 2 coats minimum. Allow proper drying time between coats. Cross direction application recommended.
- Do not apply during rain, heavy dew or when rain is expected within curing window.

Q: What is the difference between silicone coating and acrylic waterproof coating?
A: Silicone coating is far superior under continuous direct sunlight. Acrylic will chalk and degrade faster under heavy UV. Silicone retains elasticity and waterproof performance much longer for exposed roof applications. Acrylic works better for shaded areas.
Q: Can silicone coating be used as base coat under other waterproof membranes?
A: Normally silicone is used as finish top coat for exposed roof. Its low surface energy may reduce adhesion if you apply other coatings over silicone, so it is usually the final layer.
Q: Can it be applied directly on rusty metal roof?
A: Loose rust must be cleaned first. We recommend rust conversion primer before applying silicone coating to get stable long-term adhesion.
